A look back at some of the things Starz have done over the past few years......
We had an amazing day at the end of the summer holidays in Hunstanton with our foster carers and the children and young people in their care.
We loved the visit to the Sea Life Centre followed by the time spent together at the beach and at the amusements.
We arranged a fun family activity at Ferry Meadows. Jack and Miller, coaches from Mash Multi Sports led a sports session with artery, football and other games. We then had a picnic in the park.
Amazing day and a lovely opportunity for the team to spend time with our foster carers and the children and young people in their care.
We had an amazing day during the school holiday's, a fun sports session with coaches Asher and Miller from Mash Multi Sports and a 'Starz Bake Off' competition.
Andy, Asher and Miller were the judges for the competition and Lizzie was in charge of the craft table. We love all the craft projects the children made and a special 'thank you' to our amazing bakers in the bake off.
Autumn & Winter 2023
Autumn Competition
We held a competition for the children and young people where they could send us a picture or drawing celebrating Autumn.
Look at this fab pumpkin drawing and a photo of their prize bundle!
Season's Greeting Card Competition
We had three amazing winning entries for the children and young people's competition to design the Season's Greeting Card for Starz.
We had two categories 11 and under and 12+.
Panto Trip - December 2023
A massive 'Thank You' to the Angles Theatre Wisbech for their generous donation of the children's tickets for our trip to see Goldilocks and the Three Bears.
We had an amazing afternoon.
See what other great shows they have and visit their website www.anglestheatre.co.uk
Our team organised a family day out tubing at Norwich Snowsports Club during the summer holidays.
It was great to see everyone enjoying the tubing activity which was followed by a picnic.
Amazing day out enjoyed by all.
Our foster carers and their children had a wonderful day out at Banham Zoo.
For some it was their first time ever visiting a zoo.
The day was such great fun and lovely for the staff to see the children enjoying themselves.
Current serving British Army officer Andy Whiting (51) volunteered to walk through four counties; Norfolk, Suffolk, Cambridgeshire and Lincolnshire. On his journey he covered approx. 97,000 steps, one for every child in care away from home on any one day in the UK. He was supported on his walk by friends, family and the general public giving out leaflets. Andy walked around in a Starz hero costume and many people gave him a honk of their horns or waved to show their support.
Starz Fostering CIC were able to raise vital awareness of the shortfall of foster families within the UK (Which is in its thousands).
Starz arranged a trip to Luminate Sandringham for our foster families.
Here are some lovely pictures from the event.
Our team arranged a competition for the children and young people during the summer holidays. We gave each family a ‘Treasured Memories Gift Box’. This included scrapbooks and an assortment of stickers and embellishments for everyone to create their own memory book of their favourite activities and days out.
In the second photo is the winning entry, which I am sure you will agree is fantastic. Well done to all the children and young people who took part.
